Visit from the Fairy Godmother

I’ve had a visit from the Fairy Godmother, AKA Appliances Online.  For those of you who don’t know about this Campaign here’s how it works.

Single Parent Dad received a Free Zanussi Washing Machine.

The lovely Rosie Scribble left this comment on his blog.

Ben (the Fairy Godmother) at Appliances Online read her comment and sent her one of these.I read Rosie’s post and left this comment.

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive a tumble dryer, but in hindsight, this is a good thing as I really don’t have anywhere to put one.  However, I did receive one of these today.

It’s the Ferrari of slow cookers and being the Queen of Slow Cooking I’m thrilled!  I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow.  We have Mediterranean Style Lamb Shanks on the Menu.

So, hopefully you’ve worked it out by now.  If you need me to spell it out, LEAVE A COMMENT on this blog.  A handful of people that comment on this post will be contacted by someone from Appliances Online who will give them freebies.  I’d lay it on thick and the odd shameless tweet to @apponline wouldn’t go amiss!

Good luck!

Ooh, hope the Christmas Fairy finds me – been 2 months without my pay so Christmas is looking scarily depressing and present-less :’(
I’d *love* a new tumble drier, as ours has broken, just when we can’t afford another one!
Bah humbug, LOL :)

I have one of these Crock Pots and they’re brilliant. Fab marketing idea too. Who’d have thought that fairy godmothers really exist !!

Well, I’d be a liar if I didn’t say that just about anything good happening to us would be pretty amazing. What I’d really like is a small and powerful vacuum cleaner that the girls and I could use easily in our 3 storey house. Then we could keep cleaner and tidier, I’d finally know it was the right time to stop having my occasional cleaner that I can’t afford but can’t bring myself to stop paying for, we’d then have more money and be more of a team working on keeping things nice together and we’d be able to afford to go on holiday and shake off some of the dismal horribleness of the last year.

*cues violins* :)

HA! How brilliant and well done you. My slow cooker is my best friend. But hang on a minute, my freezer died the other month, so now I can no longer batch cook in my slow cooker because I have nowhere to put it. Ben, Ben? Are you listening?

Wow! I like this!! We’re moving home & have to leave our cooker here as it’s built in, so we desperately need a new cooker! Failing that a microwave would be fab! Pretty please?!!

Oohh Fairy Godmothers, they don’t seem to exsist in the Netherlands. We are saving up for a tumble dryer but don’t think it would fit in the post! Maybe something smaller would?!!! :)

I have just had a larder fridge from the fairy godmother but I bought and paid fir it. What a wonderful company to buy things from I had my fridge within two days of ordering and had five phone calls and two texts to keep me informed. I will be buying all my appliances from them in future and I’m going to have a look to see if they have coffee machines next. Thanks for this post.
