Win tickets to a Kid’s Festival in August!

Thanks to the lovely people at Lollibop I have a family ticket (4 people) to give away on the blog (value £80) for the Festival on the 5th, 6th and 7th of August in Regents Park.  We’re gutted we can’t go as we will be at a family reunion in Canada but it looks like a great day out.  We had a sneak preview last month.   It’s a mini Glastonbury for kids!

If that doesn’t tempt you, here is a video.

As always I like to make my competitions as simple as possible.

1.) To enter all you need to do is reply in the comments section of this post describing your child/children in one word.  For example my daughter is ‘insane’.

2.) The competition will close, Sunday the 10th of July at 6 pm.

3.) This is a UK based competition.

4.) The winner will be chosen randomly.

5.)    Please leave me some way of identifying you whether it’s your Twitter Username or use a valid email when commenting.

If you don’t manage to win, there is a discount code in the side bar of this blog.

Good luck and thank you for entering!

Congratulations to Joe who has won the family ticket.  Please do get in touch so that I can arrange the tickets for you.

I used Random.org to choose the winner.  As you will see it came up with 35, so I then counted and recounted, to double check, that in fact it was the 35th comment on the post.  Thanks everyone for taking part!

And the winner is…..

I can’t thank you all enough for taking part in our Pumpkin Carving Competition and I hope you had as much fun as I did. I do apologize that I moved the goal posts, and allowed you all to vote on the best one. However, I think this is the fairest way to do it. It was our first year and I’ve learned a lot. Next year I will still do the voting but will introduce categories such as child involvement, artistic and traditional.

So, without further adieu…you have all voted for @kangarue as the winner. CONGRATULATIONS. Interestingly this was the one I was going to choose. I’m completely gobsmacked that this was her first attempt. I think you’ll agree that she is a worthy winner.

She’s not only amazing with a knife but also a great twitterer and worth a follow. She’s an Aussie, lover of travel, good food & wine. She’s married to @BoyWonder_UK with 2 Burmese cats. Life is busy with work & Counselling degree.

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with next year.

Thanks again.

Vote for Your Favourite Pumpkin

Thanks to everyone for joining into our Pumpkin Carving competition. I hope you had as much fun as I did. As it was the first year I didn’t think it through properly and I‘m absolutely stunned at the quality of the entries. Next year, I may have to have categories (adult, fun, spooky, etc). It was nearly impossible to choose a winner so I’m throwing it back at you. I’ve chosen my favourite 5 and now it’s your turn to vote for your favourite. Voting will close at 10pm. Please feel free to ask your friends to vote for you.
