The Gallery: Portrait

This is my first entry to Tara Cain’s Gallery and yes, I’ve cheated already.  I didn’t take the photo myself.  When Madame was 15 months old I arranged to have some photos taken of her as a gift for her Grandmother’s 60th birthday.  We really weren’t in a position to afford it, as hubby had just gone back to work after being off for over a year, but I’m so glad I pulled out the credit cards as we now have some great photos.  I’m not a fan of ‘stiff, hands-folded in lap’ studio photos so arranged to have a local photographer meet us at the park.  She followed Madame around for and hour catching candid photos.

It was hard to choose just one but I love this one as I think it shows just how much her dad adores her!

  1. I love the look on his face. And what a good idea to have someone "lurking" to catch the perfect moments. I like it! ;)

  2. What a beautiful photo! What a great idea to get a professional photographer to go to a park, much better than in a stuffy studio!

  3. I love photos like this, not staged just caputuring a moment of pure love and happiness – beautifull
