Is it a slippery slope?

I panicked!

When I was a teenager we used to take the piss out of my step father incessantly as he progressively held his newspaper farther and farther away so he could read it.  We used to joke that he needed Go Go Gadget Mechanical Arms.

Age and Eyesight

This has come back to bite me in the ass.  I thought it may be the screen on my new phone but I’ve now worked out that my site is going as well.  I’ve always had perfect vision, which is quite surprising as I regularly work on computers and in front of projectors.  I’m finding I have to hold my phone just that tiny bit farther so that things come into focus.

I’ve spoken to an optometrists and apparently this is completely normal ‘with age’ and not a damn thing I can do about it!

So what else do I have to look forward to?

  1. I went for a contact lense check up lately, and discovered that my eyes had ‘improved’ by a fraction (I am pretty much blind as a bat) but my optician said that this was a sign of aging, someone with my poor eyesight can apparently see signs of improvement, then it all gets worse again, and he and kept saying “at your age” and “as you get older”, as he checked my eyes. I felt about 95 when I left the clinic. I’m 37 in June. I think it’s all downhill from here…

  2. Don’t worry you will look sexy in a pair of glasses – or that is what I told myself 6 months ago when I had the same realisation! Buy 3 – one indestructible, one designer and one sunglasses … that way you can lose 2 due to losing all your brain cells too and still find 1 ;o)
