Win 4 Tickets to Thorpe Park

I’ve been on a few rollercoasters in my time, but I’m definitely not an adrenaline junky.  As I’ve got older I now find that I tend to feel quite sick if I go on rides.  However, my daughter is now 5 and a half, to date I’ve managed to avoid a lot of the big theme parks in the UK, but it’s only a matter of time before we will be visiting a few.

We’ve been to Eurodisney and Adventure Land in South End, but she was a bit younger so I was able to avoid a lot of the hair-raising rides.

I’ve just been having a look at the Thorpe Park site as I was putting together this competition.  I will need to measure her but it looks like she can go on quite a few of the rides.  Storm in a Teacup and Loggers Leap sound about my level but if I know my daughter, who like most children has no fear, I will be dragged on the scariest ones she is allowed to go on.

Tidal Wave – a heart-stopping 85ft plunge into the blue!  At my age!!!!  This will be the end of me.

Tidal Wave Thorpe Park

X – A Roller Coaster that races through light and sound.  Eeeek!

  1. I love all sorts of water rides, so the tidal wave looks amazing to me. My OH might not agree though, but that’s because he’s always the one unfortunate enough to get really, really wet!

  2. I love theme parks, though in my old age I’m not quite so brave as the 14 year old me who did loop the loop (or whatever the upside down twice ride was called) 10 times in a row. My boys would run directly to the water rides like storm surge. The littlest I think would love mr monkeys banana ride. Me, I’d love a go at stealth. The husband – well he’d just push baby around and carry the bags #softy

  3. Imagine going on that disco one after a few Gins !!!!! ( this comment does not promote drinking in theme parks with children ) !

  4. I admit to being a bit of a ride wimp. My son and husband however, love the thrill of fast and furious. I think Stealth would be their next challenge!

  5. I/we like most rides but I really fancy the swarm and m teenager does too! My wife is more of a Teacup kinda Gal and my daughter likes the water rides so The Rumba Rapids for her.
    Thanks

  6. I like the teacup ride as it reminds me of my dad furiously spinning it around! and I would go all dizzy

  7. My 13 year old son Loves all the big Rides at Thorpe park but his most favourite is Stealth he is a complete Roller Coaster junkie so to win this for him would be Amazing

  8. Eldest daughter says SAW! Eeeek!! Youngest says teacups, I think I’ll join her on that lol x

  9. Everytime I’ve been to Thorpe Park I say I’m not going to go on Tidal Wave, but I always do and get soaked – so Tidal Wave again?! :)

  10. I’m obsessed with Thorpe Park – haven’t been on SAW yet – really want to! My current favourite ride is Nemesis Inferno – amazing!!

  11. My girls only little so probably be the chief rangers carousel my stepdaughter would love anything fast and scary

  12. Has to be nemesis inferno or the swarm. (both forwards and backwards, assuming they switch occasionally)

  13. Teacups for myself and my 4yr old son!! Having him with me means I get away with being unbelievably wimpy!)

  14. The only one I have yet to try…The Swarm, according to the website you can ride it bckwards too! Sounds good to me =)

  15. The Tidal Wave, such fun is one of our families favorites although there all pretty greart

  16. My son and my fiance both really want to go on the “Saw” and i’d get grief forever for bring a chicken if i didn’t go on with them x

  17. A busy mummy of two so treats are rare this would be perfect for some adult time my children are 3 and 1 so I don’t think they’d enjoy it. We’d love to try swarm the adrenaline would be outrageous. Good Luck all x
