Win a Bundle of Birthday Cards from Orchard Cards

Win a Bundle of Birthday CardsI don’t know how many 5 year old birthday cards I’ve bought this year.  My daughter has been to at least a dozen birthdays.  It made me think that card companies should offer bundles of age specific cards, as all the kids in the class will turn the same age at some point.  This would save me darting out to get one every time.  So, I contacted the lovely people at Orchard Cards to share my idea.

They didn’t have anything specific, but have offered my readers a chance to win a bundle of 10 birthday cards, for an age of the winner’s choice (ages 1-10).

Full terms and conditions can be found at the bottom of the form.  But in short, open to UK residents only aged 18+.

I think it would also be perfect for those of you in pre-natal groups!

Good luck!

  1. Cut out shapes (with one of those stamper things) and glue them to a blank card in attractive shapes to send out to people who have a birthday or special occassion.

  2. We keep some of our cards – especially from close family…its nice to look back in years time! The others go in the kids art boxes to cut out and stick to pictures or make gift tags with.

  3. mostly use them for making postcards , and the backs we recycle and use to write the shopping list on

  4. Each year we make a collage out of my daughter’s cards and it stays on her bedroom wall until we make the next one.

  5. They get stored in my kids cutting and sticking box and always come in useful for pictures x

  6. I make a collage using a selection of favourites – so that I just keep one ‘collage’ of cards per year… then I use a stamper to cut shapes out of all the others so that my little ones can do some sticking!

  7. Some can be trimmed and used as postcards, others can have shapes cut out for reuse as new cards. Even verses can be reused!

  8. I make some birthday and xmas cards into postcards for entering competitions. Some cards also look nice framed and hung on the wall to match your decor. Very small cards can be made into tags for presents

  9. Gift tags, or my children like to cut them up and stick them on their own handmade cards

  10. I have used old cards in the past cut out the picture on front used as a decoration for a wrapped present

  11. I make post cards with the best ones, it’s quite sad I even have a special rubber “post card” stamp for the plain side :) I make tags with others and save the pretty elements of hand made cards to use to re-make cards or embellish wrapping. I can safely say I am a definite womble when it comes to re-using gift cards!

  12. Ideal for last minute gift tags also on wet afternoons keeps the kids quiet cutting out and making up stories with them

  13. As people have spent some time and money choosing birthday cards, I have always kept mine, just can’t throw them away.

I think a collage would be great way to display them. Maybe I’ll have the time over the Summer to get out the PVA glue!

  14. I love to make projects for my stepdaughter arts and crafts projects are making her interested in art which is great.

  15. we cut them into different shapes and use them for jigsaw puzzles for the kids n grandkids, keeps them amused for hours :)

  16. If they are very pretty i frame them, or i cut them up as gift tags or use them as postcards for entering competitions.

  17. You can cut the pictures out and laminate them to use on a background scene for children to make and play with time after time. ;o)

  18. We use them for the children but any that really need recycling go to a the bin that M&S have after christmas for the Woodland Trust

  19. Perfect for my Grand daughter, lets her express her craft side and keeps her away from the computer

  20. Put tiny holes around the edges and crochet or blanket stitch around them you can hanging them on the christmas tree or they make nice bookmarks

  21. When I was little I used to use old cards (taking the nice bits from them) to make cards for my family and friends. If you know any creative kids, maybe give it to them?

  22. Use pinking shears to cut out the best pictures and then use them as gift tags or place names – they look so pretty.

  23. Cut out all the shapes and letter and then make new cards that are a bit more personal for family members

  24. every year i cut up my xmas cards to make gift tags for the next year and i use the back of the cards for shopping lists
