  1. Venison cassoulet slow cooked for about 6-7 hours – may be longer if the rain and gale force wind blows us off our course today ;)
    1kg venison
    Bacon lardons
    8 shallots whole
Box of mushrooms cut in 1/2
    4 garlic cloves whole
    Couple of carrots 1/4
Wine- to cover it fully so no drinkie!
Salt pepper nutmeg rosemary thyme to taste

This is a made up recipe so measurements may be a little off but the slow cooking will rescue any mistakes made ;)
    Fry off lardons remove
    Brown meat remove
Quick fry of veg in pan add a dash of wine
Transfer all to slow cooker add more wine
    Add herbs
Leave alone for 6 hrs or until your starving
Serve with truffle infused mash. – that’s mash with truffle oil

With a 20 mile walk to do today this is the type of food to come home too, fuss free but wowsome And Nearly Husband once again sees me as this domestic goddess ;()
